Partner and Head of Banking and Finance at Linde Krost
Guido has more than twenty years of experience and he has extensive expertise in banking and finance and international capital markets, including Islamic finance. In particular, in the last few years he has gained a wealth of knowledge across a range of Shariah compliant structures, including the set-up of Shariah compliant platforms for private banks and investment funds.
Guido has started his career working for a UK “Magic Circle” law firm, then he has been Head of Legal for a top tier international investment bank both in London and in Milan. During the past seven years Guido has been working in Dubai for a leading international UAE law firm as Head of the Banking & Finance and Islamic Finance department.
Guido was admitted to the Italian Bar Association as a lawyer and advocate in 1999. He is regularly invited to speak as expert at conferences and contributes to panel discussions on various topics related to international banking, finance and Islamic finance. He is also an Associate Professor and lecturer of structured finance and Islamic finance at LUM University in Italy.
Guido was recruited to head up the Linde Krost Banking and Finance Department following the Firm’s expansion into the UAE, where Guido has unique knowledge of Sharia compliant products.
